Originally released on cassette format only, Glory Hole became the first release of Bloomington, Indiana based label Secretly Canadian. It sways from folk-based rock delivered with subtle charm to screaming, angst-filled punk rock and noise. Throughout, however, Panic shows his gift for memorable lyrics and catchy melodies.
Given a more sophisticated production, the brilliant "Lonely for Lonely's Sake" could have been a top 40 hit. Overall, this album is a worthwhile place to have a first encounter with this idiosyncratic musician.
